| Surface preparation |
|
The surface should be clean and free from dust, grease, and laitance. There should be no blooms or crack formations. Residues from grease or soap can be removed with Alfix Deep Cleaner.
Mat or sand PVC and vinyl.
Protect steel from corrosion
On dense surfaces; apply a 1 mm contact layer of adhesive prior to fixing.

|
| Mixing and fixing |
|
Dilute Flexbinder with clean water in the proportion 1:1 and mix with one of the following adhesives: Letfix extra, Letfix extra Less Dust, Letfix Universal, Profix extra, or CombiQuickfix.
The amount of Flexbinder/water depends on whether to use as non-slip wall adhesive or easy-flowing floor adhesive.
Tile fixing should be made in exact accordance with instructions given for each type of adhesive.
Pools with PVC foil
For tile fixing on pool edges use Alfix Normalfix mixed with undiluted Flexbinder. Add 0.4 litre Flexbinder per kg powder and any further adjustment of consistency should be made with clean water only.
For further information, please consult our Technical Services Dept.
NB!
Switch off any underfloor heating.
Additional water or Alfix Flexbinder should not be added to adhesive already starting to set.
This admix improves adhesion which calls for extra attention when cleaning tiles and tools.
Compared to conventional adhesives exclusively mixed with water, setting time may be extended.
|
|
| Cleaning |
|
Clean adhesive residues from tools and tiles with water before the admix sets. Once dried, Flexbinder can only be removed mechanically or with solvent.
