| Surface preparation |
The surface should be dimensionally stable, sound, and clean. Free from laitance, grease, and dust. There should be no blooms or crack formations. Residues from grease or soap can be removed with Alfix Deep Cleaner.
On absorbent, moisture sensitive interior surfaces, such as aerated concrete, gypsum plaster, and plaster boards, apply Alfix Primer (Sealing Primer) or Alfix PlaneMixPrimer.
|
|
| Instructions for use |
Apply Alfix Readyflex to the surface with a notched trowel, using the straight edge to spread out adhesive and subsequently the notched edge to produce a ribbed bed.
Fix tiles within 15 - 20 minutes by pressing them firmly into position in the wet adhesive with a slight twisting action. Ensure complete adhesive coverage!
When fixing marble, apply a thin contact layer to the back of the tiles before pressing them into the adhesive.
NB!
When used on dense surfaces or for non-absorbent tiles, setting time is extended.
Either surface or tile should be absorbent to ensure proper curing.
Switch off any underfloor heating.
|
|
| Cleaning |
Clean adhesive residues from tools and tiles with water before the adhesive sets. Once set, the paste can be removed mechanically or with solvent.
