Packaging
Available in 5 kg plastic buckets comprising both component A and B in correct ratio.
Surface preparation

Ensure that joints are completely dry and clean from adhesive residues and loose particles in a depth corresponding to tile thickness. Working temperatures should range between +15°C and +30°C.

Mixing and application
When mixing part A and B a high performance, hygienic, and very chemically resistant grout is obtained, suitable for both interior and exterior grouting of ceramic surfaces within food processing industries, such as breweries, dairies, abattoirs, etc., chemical industries, water purification plants, and other chemically aggressive environments.
Upon curing the grout provides a durable water and liquid proof joint, resistant to a number of chemicals as well as mechanical stress.
Joint and tile edges should be dry and free from dust, loose particles, grease and cement residues. Cement residues can be removed with Alfix Acid Wash.
Add component B to component A in a clean bucket while using a slowly rotating stirrer to obtain a homogene and smooth paste.
Mixing time: min. 3 minutes.
Working time: approx. 50 minutes.
Work Alfix C2 Epoxy Grout well into the joints with the aid of suitable hard grout float. Compact the grout into joints by working diagonally. Clean off surplus grouting material shortly after application before material starts to dry. For cleaning use the smallest possible amount of hot water and a wipe over tiles with pad frequently rinsed. Complete cleaning off with a viscose sponge frequently soaked in hot water. Avoid excess water to flow in joints.
Curing time: approx. 48 hours.
Other properties

Alfix C2 Epoxy Grout can also be used as adhesive for application of ceramic tiles.

Precautions

IRRITANT
Component A: Contains: Reaction resin grout: Bisphenol-A-epoxy resin and C12-C14 aliphatic glycidylether.
Component B: Contains: 3-aminomethyl-3,5, 5-trimethylcyclohexylamine and trientine (3,6-diazaoctane-1,8-diamin).
Irritating to skin and eyes. May cause sensitization by skin contact. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable protective clothing/gloves to avoid skin contact.
The product is to be used only in well ventilated locations.

Cleaning

Grout residues on tiles and tools should be cleaned immediately after use with hot water. Once cured, material can only be removed mechanically.

Test

Test results regarding chemical resistance and water impermeability from the German Institute of: "Untersuchungs- und Beratungsinstitut für Wand- und Bodenbeläge, Säurefliesner-Vereinigung e.V. Großburgwedel".
