2-part epoxy resin system scattered with dry quartz sand, grain size 0.32 – 0.71 mm (type 1)

Coverage

200 – 300 g/m² + approx. 2.5 kg sand.

Packaging

5 kg units containing matching volumes of each component, A and B.
Sand is available in 25 kg bags.

Surfaces

Concrete in situ and concrete slabs, older than 3 months.
Cohesive strength should be min. 1.5 N/mm²

Surface preparation

The surface should be dimensionally stable, sound, clean and free from dust and laitance. There should be no blooms or crack formations. Surface evenness of +/- 2 mm when using smoothing board. Residues from grease or soap can be removed with Alfix Deep Cleaner.

How to use

Add full content of component B into component A and mix the two components using slowly rotating paddle attached to electric drill. Mix thoroughly for approx. 3 minutes.
Working time is approx. 30 minutes at +20°C.
Apply by short pile paint roller to an evenly penetrating coat with coverage of 200 – 300 g/m².
Scatter with dry quartz sand, type 1, over the still wet coating of Alfix Epoxy primer until the surface is completely saturated and will provide a sandpaper-like finish.

NB!
Both substrate and working temperature should be ranging between +10°C - +30°C.
Avoid working in direct sunlight.
According to Danish legislation, working with epoxide products requires special training.

Cleaning

Residues from Alfix Epoxy primer on tools should be removed immediately upon use with ethanol.

Once cured, primer can only be removed mechanically.
