The surface must be suitable for top treatment, stable, dry, and cleaned of dust and slurry.

How to use

Always shake container well before use to dissolve any precipitate

When the PlaneMix primer is completely dry, apply the first coat of Alfix TopCoat Design using a paint roller (nap 8–10 mm) over the entire surface. Alfix TopCoat Design should be applied in an even, uniform layer.
Avoid the formation of puddles on the surface.

After drying for a minimum of 3 hours (depending on room and floor temperature), apply the second coat of Alfix TopCoat Design with a paint roller. After an additional minimum of 3 hours, or the next day, a final third coat of Alfix TopCoat Design may advantageously be applied to achieve a denser finished surface.

A paint roller with a nap length of 8–10 mm is recommended.

Residual moisture in the substrate for Alfix TopCoat Design must not exceed 85% RH.
The temperature of air, floor, and TopCoat Design must be between +15°C and +25°C.
Minimum drying time at +20°C: 3 hours between each application.
The floor must not be put into use earlier than 24 hours after completed treatment at +20°C.

Before putting the floor into use
At the earliest 24 hours after completed treatment with Alfix TopCoat Design, it is recommended to wash the floor twice with Alfix Floor Care diluted with lukewarm water at a ratio of 1 dl Alfix Floor Care to 10 liters of water.
Allow at least 1 hour between the first and second cleaning at +20°C.
The pore filling increases surface strength.

Tools should be cleaned with water before Alfix TopCoat Design dries.
Dried Alfix TopCoat Design must be removed mechanically.

Daily maintenance
The floor surface can be cleaned with Alfix Floor Care or another cleaning/maintenance product with similar specifications.

NB!
Avoid polishing the leveling compound surface with a felt pad before treatment with Alfix TopCoat.
Alfix TopCoat Design is recommended for floors in residential areas or other floor areas with a load comparable to residential use.
For floor areas subject to higher loads than residential use, more frequent maintenance should be expected.
The use of protective floor mats is recommended under office chairs with castors.
For chairs and other objects frequently moved across the floor, it is recommended to fit felt pads or similar under chair legs, etc.
Floor mats are recommended at entrance doors.
Spills on the floor must be wiped up before drying.
