How to use
Surfaces
Surface preparation
The surface should be dimensionally stable, sound, and clean. Free from laitance, grease, and dust. There should be no blooms or crack formations.
Residues from grease or soap can be removed with Alfix Deep Cleaner. Ensure that paint work is sound and not flaking. Rough-sand/matt smooth or dense surfaces.
How to use
For absorbent surfaces, such as concrete, dilute Alfix PlaneMixPrimer with clean water in the ratio 1:3. For smooth or dense substrates, wash/brush the surface using a mixture of Alfix PlaneMix Primer and levelling powder in the ratio 1:2.
Outdoors: prime with Alfix PlaneMixPrimer diluted 1:6 with water.
Apply Alfix Primer to the surface with use of broom, brush, or roller and work it well into the surface leaving no visible puddles.
Allow primer to dry before commencing further treatment.
Ensure a room temperature of min. +10°C.
Min. drying time at +20°C: 1 hour.
Should levelling imply several layers, priming before each new application is required.
For very absorbent surfaces, extra priming may be required.
Cleaning
Clean residues from tools with water before the primer sets. Once dried, primer can be removed mechanically or with solvent.
Wear protective gloves during work since the product tends to stick strongly to the skin.
